I was just kidding. My photos are for the enjoyment of the members of the DA community. If you need a higher resolution copy I will upgrade the image. I've had several where people have made copies, but did not even fav, so I put low resolution photos up now.
At this time of year I still have mostly juncos, sparrows, wrens, cardinals, woodpeckers and goldfinches. I love watching them at the feeders and ipping in and out of the trees and shrubs in the garden. They're a constant source of joy.
I was always a bird lover and, consequently, a cat hater. These little hummingbirds spend their lives fighting over the right to eat out of a feeder claimed by an adult male. It's really funny to watch them outsmart him. In NJ we had many colored birds, but no hummingbirds, so I am enjoying the hell out of these guys. Any cat that enters my property has a very short life expectancy.
Hi Cecily! This is the bird that gets in my face and 'scolds me'. She always lets me have a couple of loud peeps where she seems to fold to get that much sound out. This is the tail end of one of those peeps. The summer photography season is here; we'll be 80F today!
