The Eyes Have It by Good-e-nuf The Eyes Have It by Good-e-nuf
Nikon PB-6 with reversing ring and reversed 55 mm f/2.8 micro Nikkor. 1 SB-200 strobe with su-800 control unit.

If history repeats itself, I will not be able to keep up with all the comments. I would like to thank all who look, fav or comment on this photo.
I would also like to thank Hellfirediva for the DD. Her gallery just knocked me over. She does the type photography I hope to be doing in a year or two or maybe more!

Such a beautiful shot, nice vivid colours and if you don't mind my asking, is this ladybird a local species ? I've just never seen one without spots XD x

No, I think this is a species brought in to the US by the DoA. It's an Asian Lady bug. They come in a wide range of shades of red to orange. We have very few of the spotted ladybugs.

I stacked some images. I was able to get ~5 shots in before the bug started moving again.

Aha, I know this method. But I thought that it moved without stopping. I had this problem when tried to shoot bugs xD

Thanks, Jocelyne! It was a surprise to me to! A DD for an image as this?? I actually questioned the person who gave it to me. I've seen shots several hundred times better. Sorry for the late reply, but presently I'm about two weeks behind and now I disappear for the summer. Is everything OK with you?

It is an awesome image, Walt, you fully deserve it! And I mean it!
No worries for being late, I am often overwhelmed!
I hope you will have a beautiful summer, here it is not really Spring yet, snow on the ground and cool temperatures.
But I am doing well, thank you, I hope you are too!

Hi Jocelyne, I'm not on as much as I used to be. I don't join clubs and try to keep my 'pageviews' down. I can't handle the number of views I get now. I do like trying new things with my cameras and am always looking at gadgets to see what kind of looks I can get. Most of my photos for the past 2 years have been in my yard. My wife had cancer and I stayed home with her. She is now cancer free and we hope to get out and photograph more.

Hello Walt!
I am sorry to hear that your wife has had cancer, it must have been a very difficult time. But I am happy that she is doing well by now, I really wish a beautiful Summer to both of you and that you will enjoy it! :tighthug:

Thanks Jocelyne, but I still question the choice of this as a DD. Both my DDs were, to me, questionable. I questioned the girl about the choice of this one and she said it was DD quality(?????). I've since bought a Canon camera with their MP-E extreme macro lens, but now can't find any bugs; they hide when they see me coming.
