I'm pretty basic at naming things. In NJ we used to call them 'Jersey Mosquitos' . Thanks for the information.

no offence or anything... perfectionism is a curse

I'm one myself, so don't feel bad. I appreciate the information. I knew they weren't really mosquitos, but was to lazy to look it up. My job demanded perfection, but I was told to quite being 'too perfect' with my results. I took too much time! I still do things to infinite detail, so you are right, it is a curse. No offense was taken.

So how's that MP-e 65 working for you?

It's starting to get easier; I'm beginning to learn the limitations of the lens and what effects it. It will probably be a while before I can get any good photos. Presently I'm using high speed with a macro flash at f/16. It's really not the way to go. About f/8 is about as closed down as you should go and then stack the images. Bugs rarely cooperate. I also bought the Canon 100 mm Macro L IS. It's a really sharp lens. Haven't been getting out to shoot to often, a couple of more weeks when our cold(60 degree) weather is over I'll get out to different places.

Where are you now?
