As if by clockwork, these greedy little freeloaders are beginning to arrive. My feeder activity has really increased and the fighting and chittering in the yard both have reached fever pitch! How is everything with you, Ruth?
Just the opposite of bored, Ruth! I have more to do around the house than I can physically do nor do I think I can afford to do it all. It's time to re-do the whole house; seems like I just finished up 15 years ago. Today was: remove another 6 feet of Lantana, change the oil in the car, order more parts for the car and a 1 1/2 hour workout consisting of weights and running. I think I'm going to get another car as I drove to San Diego Sunday to pick up Carol and came right home... 3 hour round trip, but my back hurt the next day. I'll keep the S2000, forget about the Porsche and get something small and comfortable. I think I'm going to be inundated with hummers this year; already we have a load. I'm going to go to Costco and buy a 25# bag of sugar. Don't be mean to your hummers!!!
If you want a new (or used car) let me know as that is my business! [link] I do all the negotiation, paperwork etc. and it is delivered to your door without any haggling with a dealership You know my email address...I even can help with getting rid of your current car if you don't want to sell it yourself.
I understand about getting rid of a vehicle that causes pain...my husband has finally realized his F150 is just too damaging so he's taken over my car...
I was being facetious about being bored, I know you're always swamped with stuff to do Glad to hear you're up to that much workout!! Good idea about getting sugar at Costco though I won't need it for a few more months.
It's boys high school freshman basketball; all I see of it is what I see through the viewfinder. It's been really awful, I HAD to buy two new lenses for better shots. One would thing a 70 - 200 f2.8 would be good on a 5D, but I needed the 24 - 70 mm f/2.8 and the 16 - 35 f/2.8... oh, darn!
Hi, Carole, sorry for the time between replies, but, not only does time move faster when you get older, things also become more hectic. Not really on the lenses; every time I get to photograph something I claim the need for more lenses. This time I bought the Tamron 24 - 70 f/2.8(for full frame cameras). It got great reviews and was ~1000 less than the Canon. I also bought the Canon 17 - 35 mm f/2.8L for those under the basket shots. I still have to buy the Canon 135mm L f/2.0 to cover half court and full face shots. I don't like the 70 - 200 f/2.8 L IS II for basketball, but I use it. A photographer of my skill should still be using an Instamatic!!
